“Reporter Raju”(1962) was a Wadia Brothers Productions/ Basant Pictures production movie. It was produced by Homi Wadia and directed by Dwarka Khosla. The movie had Feroze Khan, Chitra, Jeevankala, Indira, Baby Vidya Rani, Manorama, Ratnamala,
Sulochana Chatterjee, Shah Agha, Sunder, Majnoo, Shakeel Noomani, Raj Adeeb, Mintobai, Gani, Mohammed Ali, Geeta, Paro, Julian, B.M.Vyas, Anthny, Bismilla, Mithoo miyaa etc in it.

This movie contains some wonderful songs in it including the theme song of Memsaab’s blog. 🙂
I just realised that not a single song from this movie has so far been discussed here. Today is just the right occasion for this movie to make its debut in this blog. Today (24 october) happens to be the birthday of Greta, our beloved Memsaab. And what could be better than to discuss the theme song of Memsaab on this occasion.
So here is that special song from “Reporter Raju” (1962). This song is written by Anand Bakshi and composed by S Mohinder. Rafi sings this song with his customary gusto and energy. This song has the words “Lo memsaab salaam” figuring prominently in it. Another bonus is Rafi yodelling in this song.
The song is picturised on Feroz Khan and Chitra.
