“Naag Devta” (1962) was a Vinod Films production. It was directed by Shantilal Soni. The movie had Mahipal, Anjali Devi, Shashikala, B M Vyas, Niranjan Sharma, Leela Chitnis etc in it.
One song from this movie has been discussed in the past. Here is the second song from this movie. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and it is picturised as a dance song on Anjali Devi. The picturisation also shows snakes playing magical insruments and a snake refusing to do the bidding of the evil magician (B M Vyas) despite being tortured. Such special effects half a century ago must have been a great technological feat given that the present day special effect tools were not in existence back then.
The fact that Prakash Mehra wrore lyrics half a century ago may come as a surprise to many. He is the lyricist of this song.
