“Baghdad” (1961) was a Southern Movies production. It was directed by T R Sundaram. The movie had M. G. Ramchandran, Vyjyantimala, Gopal Krishna, T. S. Balliah, Nambiar, Sandhya, Helen etc in it. That makes it one of the rare movies where M G Ramchandran was seen in a Hindi movie. I wonder if it was a dubbed movie. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this movie.
Here is a rare song from this obscure movie. The song is sung by Rafi and Suman Kalyanpur and it is picturised on M G Ramchandran and Vyjyanti Mala. Pt Indra Chandra is the lyricist. Music is composed by Jamal Sen.
The video gets clipped all of a sudden with a few lines of the song still left to be sung. I am aware of an audio clip of this song (non on YT), which is a few seconds longer, but that too gets clipped midway just as Rafi and Suman Kalyanpur begin to sing in tandem. I hope that longer version of this song will be made available on internet sometime in future.
