“Aurat” (1967) was a Gemini Combines movie and it was directed by S S Vasan and S S Balan. The movie had Firoz Khan, Padmini, Rajesh Khanna, Nazima, Pran, Achala Sachdev, O. P. Ralhan, Lalita Pawar, David Abraham, Nana Palsikar, Kanhaiyalal, Leela Chitnis, Mohan Choti, Niranjan Sharma, Revti, Baby Rani etc in it.
Three songs from this movie have been discussed in the past.
Here is another song from the movie. It was an iconic song of its time that I have heard many times in the past without being aware about its details. What is more, I thought that it was sung by Rafi. I find that this song is sung by Asha Bhonsle ! And this song does not appear to have a multiple version song either. So was I confusing this song with some other song ?

Picturisation shows that it is a record player song. The song plays on a record player while love blossoms between Naazima and Rajesh from actoss their respective windows.

Just for Fun-
Rafi’s song ‘Muze Tumse Mohabbat Hain…’ is an unique song. It is picturised on Salman’s Father (Salim), praising mother of Farah & Sajid Khan (Menka) & has music by Anu Malik’s Father (Sardar Malik)! So we can say it is a song of Parents!!

Actress Nazima, was also known as Baby Chand while she was a child actress…she’s grand daughter of Sharifa Bai, by her son Nadir Shah. Sarifa Bai was the heroine of first talkie film Shakuntala (1931). There was other two talkie was realesed in 1931, (1) Alam Ara with Zubeida nad (2) Heer Ranjha with Anwari Bai. She was mother of Roshan Ara who later became heroin as Husn Bano. She had a bunglow named after her in Dadar (Mumbai) known as Sharifa Mansion.
Nazima died in 1976 due to cancer.
