Tera mera ho gaya prem

Here is a song from the movie “Farmaish” (1953). This is the ‘T’ songs of A-Z of Rafi song series. This is a duet song composed by Huslal-Bhagatram and lyricist is Qamar Jalaalabadi. A duet with Shamshad Begum was so far missing in the series. So here is the promised duet, which is a light hearted romantic banter.
This movie was released on 1st January 1953, as per imbd website, and the year is 1953 even in myswar.com. Some song links are mentioning the year as 1952, which must have caused the confusion in the year. The cast of the movie is Bharat Bhushan, Chandra shekhar, Kuldip Kaur, Vijaylaxmi and Pran. The excel sheet is giving the name of Gope in the ‘ picturized on ‘ column against this song. ‘Gope’ I know as a comedian of yesteryears whom I would have been able to identify if the video was available. But I was unable to find any video links for the songs.
This takes care of ‘T’ alphabet in the series. For the rest of the alphabets, there are very few choices available. Among those few choices, i think I have selected the best. Some other songs in the list with U, V are in Telegu , Punjabi language. As for ‘X’ it is non-existent in the list, as obviously there are no words in either hindi or urdu with X. I tried for songs with the word/noun ‘Laxmi” in the mukhda. There are at least two Rafi songs with the word “Laxmi” in mukhda, which are already posted.
‘Z’ alphabet is also full of possibilities. I have shortlisted at least four songs, will have to decide on one song when the time comes. Meanwhile let’s enjoy this delightful duet.
