“Ek Thhi Ladki” (1949) was a Shorey Films production movie. It was produced and directed by Roop K Shorey. The movie had Motilal, Meena Shorey, Majnu, Kuldip, Batra, Shamlal, Gogia Pasha, Pasha, I. S. Johar, Shakuntala, Agha Miraz etc in it.
As many as nine songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the tenth and final song from the movie.
Only the audio of this song is available but it seems almost certain that this song was picturised on Meena Shorey.
Aziz Kashmiri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Vinod.
Curiously, the same song was also reused in “Sabzbaagh” (1951) which was made by the same musical team though not the same acting team. My guess is that the actress lip syncing on this song this time was Nimmi.
Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Nitin Shah.
With this song, “Ek Thhi Ladki” (1949) joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.
Song-Mere dil ke tadapne ka tamaasha dekhnewaale (Ek Thi Ladki)(1949)/ Sabzbaagh(1951) Singer-Lata, Lyrics-Aziz Kashmiri, MD-Vinod
Lyrics(Provided by Nitin Shah)
mere dil ke tadapne ka tamaasha dekhnewaale
mere dil ke tadapne ka tamaasha dekhnewaale
tujhe kya mil gayaa
haaye
tujhe kya mil gayaa
mere tadapna dekhnewaale
mere dil ke tadapne ka tamaasha dekhnewaale
meri barbaadiyon pe
meri barbaadiyon pe muskuraa le jitna ji chaahe
meri khushiyon ki basti ka ujadna dekhnewaale
hazaaron hasraten lekar
hazaaron hasraten lekar
teri mehfil se jaate hain
teri mehfil se jaate hain
sahaara de ke dil ko besahaara dekhewaale
mere dil ke tadapne ka tamaasha dekhnewaale

Atulji,
Thanks for sprucing up the Movies-All Covered page. However alphabetical list for 1 and 2 songs which was very useful is missing now. Actually the page should be renamed as List of balance 1/2 songs. As all-songs-covered-movies are indicated in red in List of songs-Movies wise page, the same need not be repeated in Movies-All Covered page.
