“Doosri Shaadi” (1947( was directed by Ram Daryani. The movie had Kumar, Mumtaz Shanti, David, Gope, Pramila, Ranjit Kumari, Maya Devi etc in it.

One song from this movie have been discussed in the past.

Here is the second song from the movie. The song is sung by Rajkumari. I C Kapoor is the lyricist. Music is composed by Pt Govindram.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Nitin Shah.

Only the audio of this song is available and the quality is not great. But the audio link that I have provided is of somewhat better quality than the other link which is recorded by someone from radio broadcast and is of worse quality. I hope better quality audio of this song may become available in future. Till then, this is the best audio that we have got for this rare song.

Song-Dekho ji aayi suhaani raat (Doosri Shaadi)(1947) Singer-Rajkumari, Lyrics-I C Kapoor, MD-Pt Govindram

Lyrics (Provided by Nitin Shah)

dekho ji aayi suhaani raat
kisi se karni hai ek baat
mera man hai lalchaaye
mera man hai lalchaaye
kisi ki yaad sataaye

ghataayen chhaayin hain ghanghor
dekho ji ban mein naache mor
papeeha pee pee gaaye
papeeha pee pee gaaye
kisi ki yaad sataaye

badli mein chaandni doley
badli mein chaandni doley
jaise dulhan ghoonghat kholey
piya se sharma jaaye
kisi ki yaad sataaye

tumhaari yaad hai dil mera
tumhaari yaad hai dil mera
kiya hai ismein tumne basera
mere man mein utthhe shor
dhoondhne jaawaan main kis oar
raasta kaun dikhaaye
raasta kaun dikhaaye
kisi ki yaad sataaye
ghataayen chhaayin hain ghanghor
dekho ji ban mein nache mor
papeeha pee pee gaaye
papeeha pee pee gaaye
kisi ki yaad sataaye

Despite your caution about the audio quality, I couldn’t resist the temptation to listen the song.Rajkumariji seems to be in hurry and her voice is hardly recogniseble

Usha Kiranji
Seems so. However she has to keep pace with the pace of orchestra otherwise it would crash down
