“Wasiyatnaama” (1945), by now a forgotten movie, was directed by Soumen Mukherji for New Theatres, Calcutta. The movie had Asit Baran, Sumitra Devi, Bharati, Latika Bannerji, Ahindra Chaudhary, Hiralal, Devi Mukherji, Shor, Tandon, Natwar, Tulsi etc in it.
One song from “Wasiyatnaama” (1945) has been discussed in the past. Here is the second song from “Wasiyatnama” (1945). The name of the singer is not mentioned in HFGK, but going by the starcast, my guess is that this song is sung by Sumitra Devi who was an actor-singer and whose voice is credited in another song of the movie. It could also be the voice of Utpala Sen, the other female playback singer in the movie.
Zakir Hussain is the lyricist, Music is composed by R C Boral.
