“Jwaar Bhaata” (1973) was produced by Hargobind Duggal and directed by A Subba Rao for Bahar films. The movie had Dharmendra, Saira Banu, Sujit Kumar, Jeevan, Rajinder Nath, Nazir Hussain, Sunder, Shammi, Jayashree.T., Meena.T., Baby Guddi, Baby Pinky, Baby Sabira, Randhir, Shivraj, Narbada Shankar, Sulochana Chatterjee, Master Shahid, Johny Whisky, Behari, Gulshan Banwra, Kesho Rana, Aziz, Nazir Kashmiri, Master Manoj ,Master Ahmed, Dina Nath, Mukthar Ahmed, Moolchand, Nana Palsikar etc in it.
The movie had some nice songs in it and they have all been forgotten with time. I had listened to and enjoyed the songs of this movie, though I was not aware that those songs were from this movie. The songs that I enjoyed listening to those days were Daal roti khaao Prabhu ke gun gaao, Roothaa hai to manaa lenge and Turururu turururu tera mera pyaar shuru.
Here is a song from “Jwaar Bhaata” (1973) that I had never heard at that time. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. The song is picturised as a seduction cum diversion song on Saira Bano who diverts the attention of Sujeet Kumar and Jeewan so that Baby Pinky, a fellow captive can escape unnoticed and bring help. And Saira Bano seems quite confident that help would arrive in the form of Dharmendra by the time her song ends. 🙂 Rescued within three minutes-does she think that rescuing damsels in distress is like making a two minutes noodle ? 🙂
Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.
Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Prakashchandra.
With this song, the fifth from the movie, “Jwaar Bhaata” (1973) joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.

Lyrics (Provided by Prakashchandra)
aaa aaaa
aaa aa aa
ho o o
ho o o
peene ki der na pilaane ki der hai
ek zaraa saaqi ke aane ki der hai
ek zaraa saaqi ke aane ki der hai
peene ki der na pilaane ki der hai
ek zaraa saaqi ke aane ki der hai
peene ki der na pilaane ki der hai
ek zaraa saaqi ke aane ki der hai
bas mere saaqi ke aane ki der hai
aaj dolegaa shabaab
aaj bolegi sharaab
aaj dolegaa shabaab
aaj bolegi sharaab
kaun kaun ladkhadaayegaa
dekhenge janaab
girne ki der na giraane ki der hai
bas zaraa saaqi ke aane ki der hai
bas mere saaqi ke aane ki der hai
dekho chhodo na aas
zaraa badhne do pyaas
dekho chhodo na aas
zaraa badhne do pyaas
do ghadi ke liye
aur ho lo udaas
hansne ki der na hansaane ki der hai
bas mere saaqi ke aane ki der hai
bas zaraa saaqi ke aane ki der hai
pyaas sab ki huzoor
main bujhaaungi zaroor
pyaas sab ki huzoor
main bujhaaungi zaroor
peechhe doongi sharaab
pehle laaoongi suroor
chhakne ki der na chhakaane ki der hai
bas mere saaqi ke aane ki der hai
bas mere saaqi ke aane ki der hai
peene ki der na pilaane ki der hai
ek zara saaqi ke aane ki der hai
aane ki der hai
aane ki der hai
ek zara saaqi ke
haan haan mere saaqi ke
oy oy mere saaqi ke
aane ki der hai
bas mere saaqi ke aane ki der hai
bas zaraa saaqi ke aane ki der hai
ek zara saaqi ke aane ki der hai
