Today’s song is from film Badi Bahu-1951. This was a film produced by Ashalata Biswas (under the banner of Variety Pictures-the Logo of which was made by Anil Biswas and owned by Ashalata). The film was directed by her brother S Bhagat and the music was given by her husband Anil Biswas.
“Badi Bahu” (1951) was produced by Ashalata Biswas and directed by her brother S Bhagat for Variety Pictures. The movie had Nimmi, Shekhar, Sulochana Chatterji, Raj adeeb, Chandabai, Shivraj, Mumtaz, Bimla Kumari, Baby Saroj etc in it.
This movie had eigth songs which were penned by as many as seven lyricists ! Prem Dhawan had written two of the songs, while other lyricists had one song each.
As many as seven songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the eighth and final song from the movie. This song is sung by Lata and Chandbala. The song is written by Aafdar Aah Sitapuri and music is composed by Anil Biswas.
Only the audio of this song is available. Going by the lyrics, the song appears to be a stage drama song where one lady plays the role of a complaint lodger while the other lady plays a clerk at the police station who writes FIR of the complainers.
I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this light hearted song.
I have not been able to get a few words right in the lyrics. I request our readers with keener ears to help point out the correct/ missing words in the lyrics.
With this song, “Badi Bahu” (1951) joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.

kare hiya mein zor ka
naam kaise bataaun chitchor ka
howe dhakdhak
kare hiya mein zor ka
jiya dhadke
nazar mori jhapke(?)
jiya dhadke
nazar mori jhapke(?)
man mein kaanha(?) sa reh reh ke lapke
man mein kaanha(?) sa reh reh ke lapke
jaise sangeet jal ki hilor ka
howe dhakdhak
kare hiya mein zor ka
naam kaise bataaun chitchor ka
howe dhakdhak
kare hiya mein zor ka
sachchi bolo ji bolo ji
un hoon
sachchi
ghoonghat to kholo ji
un hoon
naam ham bhi sunen chitchor ka
howe dhakdhak
kare hiya mein zor ka
naam kaise bataaun chitchor ka
howe dhakdhak
kare hiya mein zor ka
jiski bagiya ka turra suhaaye
jiski bagiya ka turra suhaaye
jisko dekhe to dekhe hi jaaye
jisko dekhe to dekhe hi jaaye
lo pata hai mere us kathhor ka
howe dhakdhak
kare hiya mein zor ka
naam kaise bataaun chitchor ka
howe dhakdhak
kare hiya mein zor ka

As I noted from your write-up that this was a film which introduced many newcomers — R K Nayyar, Joy Mukherji and Sadhana — and it turned out to be a blockbuster! I remember BARSAAT (1949) which introduced a number of newcomers — Shankar Jaikishan (MD), Shailendra (Lyrics), Ramanand Sagar (Story/Screenplay/Dialogues), Nimmi (Actress) — and it also created box-office history. There may be more such ‘ionic’ films. Arunji, Prakashji or Nitin Bhai may be able to expand on this
