“Nayi Kahaani”(1943) was directed by D D Kashyap for Prabhat Film Company, Poona. The movie had Rose, Jairaj, Nandrekar, Bannerji, Shalini, Chhotu, Rane, Manji Rao, Ganpat Rao, Karadkar, Pradhan, Thakar, Bhide etc in it.
Six songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the seventh song from “Nayi kahaani”(1943). This song is sung by a female voice, a male voice and chorus and it is picturised as a stage performance song. HFGK is silent about the identity of the singers and to make matters worse, the audio quality is quite poor.
My guess is that the female voice in that of Rajkumari. I am unable to identify the male voice, but it is not G M Durrani, unlike what some people may guess.
I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the identity of the actors as well as the singer(s) of the song.
PS-The singers are Leela Mehta and Paresh Bannerji.
Wali sahab is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shyam Sundar.

The audio is quite poor and many words are not clear. I request our readers with keener ears to suggest corrections/ suitable words in the lyrics.
Despite poor audio, this song is quite a hummable song. A better quality audio will enhance the listening pleasure of this song that much more. For the time being, let us count our blessings and be happy that this song is at least available and that too with its video.
