“Dukhiyaari”(1948) was directed by D K Ratan for Jeevan Jyot Kala Mandir, Bombay. The movie had Surendra, Trilok Kapoor, Meena, Ranjeet Kumari, Cuckoo, Chaand Burque, Majnu, Bhudo Advani, Ramesh Mohan, Chandramohan etc in it.

Here is the third song from this obscure movie. This song is sung by Surendra. F M Kaiser is the lyricist who appears to be different from Farooque Kaiser because Farooque Kaiser made his debut as a lyricist in 1949.
Gyan Dutt is the music director.
Only the audio of this song is available. Seeing that Surendra was an actor-singer and his name figures in the cast, it is clear that the song was picturised on himself.
And it also appears certain that this song was clearly inspired from K L Saigal’s song Jab dil hi toot gaya(Shahjahan) that was released two years prior tothe release of this movie.
