“Beti”(1941) was directed by Jayant Desai for Ranjit Movietone, Bombay. HFGK mentions the names of the artists in this movie as Khursheed, Vasanti, Arun, E Bilimoria, Dhori, Kesri, Khatoon, Bhagwandas, Dharpure, Nagendra, Bhupat Rai, Sharma, Revashankar etc.
Two songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the third song from “Beti”(1941) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Khursheed Bano. Music is composed by Gyan Dutt.
Though there were two lyricists in this movie, namely D N Madhok and Butaram Sharma, the distribution of songs between the two of them is not known.
Only the audio of this song is available. It is clear that the song was picturised on Khursheed Bano herself.
