There have been three movies titled “Sanskaar”, which were released in 1940, 1952 and 1958. The songs of these three movies are difficult to come by. Conventional wisdom suggests that songs of recent movies should be more easily available but the case is just the reverse here. Songs of “Sanskaar”(1940) and “Sanskaar”(1952) are more easily available than that of “Sanskaar”(1958). 🙂
“Sanskaar”(1958) was directed by Chaturbhuj Doshi for Filmistan, Bombay. The movie had Anant Kumar, Amita, Chand Usmani. Yakub. Agha, Ranjana, Leela Mishra, Badri Prasad, etc in it.
One song (the most well known song from the movie) has been discussed in the past. Here is a rare and obscure song from “Sanskaar”(1952). Like the earlier song, this song too is sung by Asha Bhonsle. Sarshar Sailaani is the lyricist. Music is composed by Anil Biswas.
Only the audio of this song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of the song.
