Music Director Shyam Sharma, a regular employee with HMV (later on, RPG) had in 1970 recorded an Album named “Swar Bahar” that had ten melodious devotional and love-songs by Suman Kalyanpur (aka Suman Hemadey, her maiden name). Seven out of these ten have now been covered in this wonderful singing blog. This one is the eighth jewel from that Album. Some songs which were not Meera Bhajans were love songs written by Anjaan and Yogesh. This one is written by Yogesh.
The meaning of the simple-worded lyrics describes the feelings of a young lover, who cannot gather enough courage to express her love, in spite of so many meetings. Suman does full justice in rendering those feelings and the song becomes very sweet to listen to.
