“Chal Chal Re Naujawaan”(1944) was directed by Gyan Mukherji for Filmistan Limited, Bombay. The movie had Ashok Kumar, Naseem Bano, Jagdish Sethi, V H Desai, Motibai, Rafiq, Navin Yagnik etc in it.
The movie had twelve songs in it. Three songs from this movie have been discussed in the past.
Here is the fourth song from “Chal Chal Re Naujawaan”(1944) to appear in the blog. According to HFGK, this song is sung by Shamshad Begam, though I have my own doubts because the voice sounds different. I request our knowledgeable readers to offer their views on the identity of the singer.
Kavi Pradeep is the lyricist. Ghulam Haider is the music director. I have come across the pure Hindi word “Samwaad” (talk) instead of the more common “baat”/ “batiyaa” for the first time in a Hindi movie song. 🙂
Only the audio of this song is available. It is clear that the song is a lullaby song. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of the song.
