“Khyber” (1954) was produced and directed by by Kamal Kapoor for Kapil Pictures, Bombay. The movie had Kamal Kapoor and Nigar Sultana in lead roles supported by Naaz, Tiwari, Niranjan Sharma, BM Vyas, Chaman Puri, Nand Kishore, Dev Raj, Rajan Kapoor, Dichhoo Kumar (Jr.), Roop Kumar, Baby Ratan, Chiman Lal, Charanjit Kumar, Indu Pal etc.
The movie had eight songs in it. Three songs have been covered in the blog.
Here is the fourth song from “Khyber” (1954) to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Shamshad Begam and chors. Asad Bhopali is the lyricist. Music is composed by Hansraj Bahl.
Only the audio of this song is available. From the sounds of it, this song appears to be a “mahila sangeet” genre of song where sahelis of a newly wedded/ soon to be wedded girl are singing a topical song advising her of how to conduct herself in her new role as a newly wedded lady.
