“Aazmaaish”(1952) was produced and directed by H S Tharani for Vinod Pictures, Bombay. This by now forgotte movies had forgotten names like Baburao, Prakash, Shanta Patel, Neeta Roy, Habeeb, Maqbool, Nazeer Kashmiri, Sheikh Brothers, Manju, Mehbooba, Dhondu, Hussain, Balaram, Deepak, Moosa, Hanuman, H Lal etc in it.
The movie had eight songs in it which are as obscure as the movie itself.
Here is the first song from “Aazmaaish”(1952) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Sulochana Kadam. Lyrics are by F M Kaiser, who I think is different from Farooque Kaiser. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on this matter.
Music director is Majumdar, who I think is the same as Ninu Majumdar. Once again, I request our knowledgeable readers to tell us whether my guess is right.
Only the audio of this song is available. This is a nice, “heard for the first time” genre of song for me and most music lovers. This is a kind of song that our beloved Bharat Upadhyay ji would describe as “my kind of song”. 🙂
