“Naag Champa”(1976) was directed by S N Tripathi for for Chitrakunj, Bombay. This kalpnik (fantasy) movie had Kanan Kaushal, Shahi Kapoor, Ramesh Deo, B. M. Vyas, Gopi Krishan, Jai Shree T., Meena T., Padma Khanna, Jairaj, Leela Mishra, Sona, Azad, Master Alankar, Bhagwan Dada, S. N. Tripathi etc in it.
This movie, not to be confused with “Naag Champa”(1958) had six songs in it.
Here is the first song from “Naag Champa”(1976) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. Bharat Vyas is the lyricist. Music is composed by S N tripathi.
The song is picturised on Padma Khanna and Shaahi Kapoor (a look alike of Shashi Kapoor).

This was the third time when composer S. N. Tripathi used this melodious tune.
First time in Rani Roopmati (1957) in the song Phool bagiya me bulbul bole (Rafi-Lata Duet)

Secondly in Been ka Jaboo (1963) in the song Janam janam ka sath hamara (Mahendra-Suman Duet)
While last time in above mentioned song Been baja mere mast sapere from Naag Champa (1976).
Interestingly to note that the song Janam janam ka sath hamara is the exact clone of the song Phool bagiya me bulbul bole in terms of the tune and rhythm as well as singers (Mahendra-Suman used for Rafi-Lata) while in the third song the tune and rhythm changed in antaras.
