“Duniya Ka Mela”(1974) was produced by G M Roshan and directed by Kundan Kumar. The movie had Sanjay Khan, Rekha, Ajit, Mehmood, Rehman, Asrani, Mukri, Bindu, Jeevan, Ranjit etc in it.
The movie had five songs in it. Here is the first song from “Duniya Ka Mela”(1974) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Lata. Anand Bakshi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.
The song is picturised as a communitydance song on Bindu, with Ranjeet also seen among many others.
The interesting tidbit associated with this movie is that originally Amitabh Bachchan was signed up as the hero, but he was turning out to be such a box office disaster that he was dropped and replaced by Sanjay Khan. By the time this movie was released, Amitabh Bachchan was already a star (with “Zanjeer”) on his way towards superstardom, whereas Sanjay Khan was nowhere. This movie itself turned out to be a box office disaster.
