Today 19th July’2021 is the thirteenth birthday of this blog. We all wish this blog a very ‘happy birthday’ today and celebrate this occasion by listening to a song which has become a customary way to celebrate the occasion every year .
I have in the past already written how I much I love this blog and how it has become a part of our life now. I will not repeat the same here today . However, I would like to mention my first interaction with this blog which happened on 15th September’2009 on the post here. I may have visited the blog on an earlier date but it was on this day that I commented for first time on the blog and thereafter it became a routine for me to visit this blog regularly. It soon become a daily practice, then it would check it up many times a day. Now this blog is with me all the time. 😊
Though my first comment on the blog came on 15.09.2009 I became a contributor to this blog nearly three years later in 2012.
My first lyrics contribution was posted on the blog on 13.09.2012.
One can notice that I will enter my tenth year on the blog in less than two months from now, and that will be a very special occasion for me, one that ould call for a celebration with songs.
So, the ‘surilaa safar’ continues …
Looking back at the years passed by and looking forward to the many musical moments ahead, today’s song aptly expresses my feelings on the occasion.
This song is from the ‘1992’ movie ‘Saatwaan Aasmaan’.
“Saatwaan Aasmaan-1992” was directed by Mahesh Bhatt for ‘Prathima Movies’. It was produced by Pranlal Mehta. Himanshu Brahamabhatt was the Chief Assistant Director and Salil Verghese was the Associate Director of this movie. It had Vivek Mushran, Pooja Bhatt, Avtar Gill, Tanvi Aazmi, Tej Sapru and Shekhar Kapoor. They were supported by Mushtaq Khan, Manmauji, Amrut Patel, Manju Mishra, Rubeena, Shammi, Madhu Kambikar, Banjara, Donald Burman, Abdul, Ramakant Burman,
Story of this movie was written by Suraj Sanim. He also wrote the screenplay and dialogues of this movie. R. Rajendran was the editor of this movie.
Suraj Sanim was also the lyricist of this movie.
It was passed by Censor Board on 07.04.1992.
“Saatwaan Aasmaan-1992” had as many as nine songs in it. (As per information available on net sources). Lata Mangeshkar, Udit Narayan, Gurpreet Kaur, Poornima, and Ghanshaym Vasvani had given their voices to the songs in this movie.
Music of this film was composed by Raam Laxman.
I have not watched this movie, but I remember this song from my ‘Kota Days’ I like this song very much. I cannot say much about this movie as I have not watched it. I would request knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this movie and its songs.
Today’s song is sung by Udit Narayan and Lata Mangeshkar. Vivek Mushran and Pooja Bhatt lip-sync the song on screen.

thanks for this prompt celebratory post. I join all readers and contributors on this occasion, thanking one and all.
I just cant remember when I first accessed this blog. I wouldn’t even hazard a guess. Once started, I continued with great interest. I couldn’t help commenting on few occasions.
It was only when Raja Ji contacted me out of blue, requesting/inviting me to join a gang out at his place, in Bangalore, I realised that Atulites had taken note of me as a regular reader. Nudged by Raja Ji, I came out with my first post(with diffidence). I was overjoyed to see my post accepted by Atul Ji and posted without a delay.
I was confirmed without a probation period :)). I felt like singing ‘Saala, main to blogger ban gaya.’ 🙂
The bondage thereafter became stronger and continues……
