Blog 10-Year Challenge (2013-2023) – Song No.136

On this date ten years ago (21 June 2013), three songs from three different movies were covered in the blog.

We observe that all the three movies whose songs were covered on this date ten years ago are still eligible for Blog Ten Year Challenge.
“Hatimtai Ki Beti”(1955) was one of the movies whose song was covered in the blog on this date ten years ago.
“Hatimtai Ki Beti”(1955) was produced and directed by Nanubhai Vakil for Vakil Productions, Bombay. This partially colour fantasy movie had Chitra, Mahipal, Daljit, Krishnakumari, Kamal, Kammo, Kumkum, Helen, Heera Sawant, Roohi, Tuntun, Naaz, Maruti, Sundar, Kesari, Niranjan Sharma, Nadir Mota, Wazeer Mohammad Khan etc, with guest appearances by Hiralal, Ram Singh, Nandu Sarkar and Al Nasir.
The movie had ten songs in it, which were penned by Shewan Rizvi (8 songs) and Kaifi Azmi (two songs). Four songs from the movie have been discussed in the past.
Here is the fifth song from the movie to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. Shewan Rizvi is the lyricist. Music is composed by A R Qureshi.
The song is picturised on Chitra who is seeking divine intervention to save the lives of people on deathbed. Nothing happens for much of the song, but towards the end of the song, a fairy/ goddess (visible only to the movie goers but not to the characters on screen) appears and gives a fresh lease of life to the people on deathbed.
