Kamsune/Unsune songs of Asha Bhosle – 62
The next song in the AB rare song series is “Khoye Ho Aakhir Kis Bekhudi Mein” by Asha Bhosle and Chorus. The song is written by Yogesh Gaud and composed by RD Burman. This song is from Asrani’s “Chala Murari Hero Ban Ne” (1977).
Details taken from earlier posts mention that this movie was produced by Surinder Kumar Sharma and directed by Asrani for Asrani enterprises, Bombay. Asrani had acted in this movie in the title role. The movie also had Bindiya Goswami and Simi Garewal in special appearances. Others in the movie were Helen, A.K.Hangal, Bunty, Keshto Mukherji, Satyen Kappu, David, Paintal, etc. The film had a long list of guest appearances by Ashok Kumar, Hema Malini, Leena Chandavarkar , Dharmendra, Aruna Irani, Premnath, Ajit, Harindranath Chattopadhyaya, Jankidas, Neetu Singh, Ranjeet, Nazir Hussain, Bunty, Amitabh Bachhan, Rishi Kapoor, Mushtaq Jalili, J.Omprakash, Sawan Kumar Tak and Shakti Samant.
“Chala Murari Hero Banane”(1977) had six songs in it. Four songs have been covered so far. This is the fifth song.
We see the lead pair Asrani and Bindiya Goswami dancing together while the lady lip syncs to the song.

Unfortunately, the movie was not successful. In Hyderabad, it was out of the main theatre in 3 weeks. Of which two were like empty houses.
And yes, I too felt the same about young Bindiya, specially in her third or fourth film Mukti. I think she had a high forehead and a ❤️ shaped face, just like Hema Malini.

Whenever I see the song I get the feeling “does she look like the Hema Malini had during those days? Was she made to look like Hema etc?”
But the songs of the movie & the character Asrani played were different from what the audience expected. I don’t know if the film was a success. It was a lovely, lovingly made story
