#the Decade of 2020s– 2021- TO – 2030 #
———————————————————–————

Today we celebrate the 77th Republic Day of our country India. Our Independence is already above seventy-eight years now. We gained our hard fought freedom on 15th August 1947. So we gained independence more than 78 years ago, whereas India became a republic on this date in 1950.

We are all aware of the supreme sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and common people. The country was blessed to have some visionary leaders who led this freedom struggle. Once independence was achieved, they ensured that this hard fought freedom was not squandered but used for the benefit of the country and its population. Drafting a constritution for this newly idependent vast nation and making it a republic, where every citizen was guaranteed equality, irrespective of their caste, creed, religion and gender, was something unprecedented in the entire history of India. India became a republic on 26 January 1950 and from that day onwards, India has been governed according to the Indian constitution that came into force on that date.

From that day onwards, India has tried to develop as a nation. Most of the time the progress has been slow and lethargic, and sometimes the country has even faced adversities that threatened the very survival of the nation, but thankfully India emerged stronger after these adversities. From being a vulnerable nation, that was not self sufficient even in the matter of food security, India has come a long way. India today has food security and that allows India to think of other issues.

The fact that Indian constitution is considered sacrosanct by Indians and the nation abides by it has helped unite the country and this unity has got further strengthened with time. The progress that India is seeing would not have been possible without it. A part of India got separated from India in 1947 and got divided into two in 1971. Those separated parts squandered their independence within a few years and today they have no respect for their constitutions and these parts are today ruled not by rule of law but at gun point by armed mob/ gangs/ terrorists/ military. Instead of working towards the development of their countries that they “won” through violence, today they try to rule their nations by creating anti India sentiments and also by cross border terrorism.

The wars that India had to fight after independence were mainly against this very country that tends to create trouble in India in order to cover up for their failure to develop their own nation. So one can say that the freedom that India earned in 1947 thanks to the efforts of our freedom fighters is these days being secured by our security forces. The threats to our nation has come from those who chose to separate from us and today, when it is obvious that they have failed as a nation, are trying to destabilise India, instead of seeking to develop their own country.

Today’s song is a tribute to all the heroes who protect our borders from the nefarious designs of our jealous enemies. Our security forces guard our borders round the clock in tough conditions, against adversaries that resort to cowardly tactics such as terrorism, attacks on civilians, military installations etc. Our security forces have foiled many such dastardly attempts and have controlled these activities to a large extent. Many security force personnel have got injurd and even martyred in the process. The families of our various security forces have been bearing the pain and grief of losing their near and dear ones for the security of this country. In the recent past we have already seen how bravely our security personnel have fought and some of them could not come back live to their homes.

This song is a tribute to all those brave sons of the nation who laid down their lives foor thesake of the nation.

This song is from ‘Border 2-2026’. This movie is directed by Anurag Singh. The cast of this movie has Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahaan Shetty, Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana, Anya Singh, Paramvir Singh Cheema and many others.

‘Border-2’ like ‘Border -1997’ is the tale of the 1971 Indo-Pak war and it is story of the military conflict as well as the sufferings of the families of the armed forces who lost their kin in this war of 1971.

I watched this movie yesterday with my wife and we liked this movie very much. When our dear Shree Gajendra Khanna jee asked me for my review of the movie in the Atulites ‘WhatsApp’ group I mentioned the below which was my immediate and instant reaction while coming out of the theatre after watching this movie.

The movie ‘Border-2’ is a must watch and it is a nice engrossing movie which takes us through the conflict of the war and the emotions of the relatives of our armed forces. The movie leaves its impact despite being a long movie of more than three hours. The music of this movie is also good and it has nine soundtracks (including the recreated versions of the songs of ‘Border-1997’) as per details given below.

Today we listen to the song ‘wo mittee ke bete’ which appears in the movie towards the end of the movie after the war ends and we witness the tragedy of those who died during the war and their final rites being performed by their near and dear ones. This song stands out as best song of the movie. I would say that it is a gem of a song which is sung soulfully by Sonu Nigam. The heart touching lyrics of this song is by Manoj Munatshir. Mithoon is the composer. I had listened to this song even before watching the movie and from the day one I had been listening to it repeatedly. Listening of this song gives me goosebumps. As of now, only audio of this song is available.

The picturisation shows the survivors of the war who come back alive from the war, their families, and also those who could not come back alive.

Our tributes to all the sons of the motherland, ‘mittee ke bete’ – jo waapas naa laute …

Let us celebrate our Republic day and pay our tribute to those who have kept our nation safe and secure from our enemies.
