C H Atma was a devotee of K L Saigal who would sing in Saigal’s voice. All these days, I thought that he was a contemporary of Saigal, but no, it was not. C H Atma came into the scene after the death of Saigal.

This evergreen song from “Sazaa” has been sung by Hemant Kumar, Sandhya Mukherjee and chorus. I have little idea what the singers of the chorus sing, and so I have not written down the lyrics of the chorus. They either sing gibberish, or sing in a language that I am not familiar with. If any reader can tell what the lyrics are, I will add that.

This movie is called “Tarana” (1951) and it had Dilip Kumar and Madhubala in the lead roles. This movie had some very good music composed by Anil Biswas on the lyrics written by Prem Dhawan.
