“Bansari”(1943), a “social” movie, was directed by Jayant Desai for Ranjit Movietone, Bombay. This by now forgotten movie had Ishwarlal, Charlie, Shamim, Dixit, Urmila, Bhagwan Das, Keshri etc in it.
