“Chhoti Bhaabhi”(1950) was directed by Shanti Kumar for Filmkar Limited, Bombay. The movie had Nargis, Karan Dewan, Shyam, Kuldeep, Ghulab, Shyama, Suraiyya Chaudhary, Yakoob, Jauhar, Baby Tabassum, Gyaani, Jugnu, G Sarang, Khushdil etc in it.

Today (27 november 2013) is the 40th death anniversary of Bhagatram (Date of death 27 november 1973) of the Husnlal Bhagatram music director duo. It is unfortunate that little information is available about this duo who had the distinction of being the first music director duo in Hindi movies.

If the title of a movie begins with the adjective “Chhoti” and it is followed by a common noun depicting a female person then you can expect a movie full of sacrifices and sad songs. Movie makers have left no such combination unused while choosing titles for their movies.
