Ever since I became aware that in this year 1947 there were maximum number of movies released in a single year, and this record was only broken in the year 1985 (reference Shri Arunkumar ji’s post on the blog) I have become curious to go through the songs of 1947. “Ek Kadam”(1947) was directed by Ramnik Desai for Sunrich Productions, Bombay. This “social”movie had Damyanti Sahni, Ansari, Raj Kachlu, Gayatri, Baburao etc in it. Neither the movie nor the actors ring any bells. That is how obscure this movie is.
