The movie had Rakesh Pandey, Heena Kausar, Mrinal Mukherjee, Manhar Desai, Anand Narula, Manohar, Indra Medha, Sheelara, Karunesh Thakur, Neelam Garudiya, Narottam Shah, Meeta Tripathi, Ramesh Bhatt, Sharmaji, Yogesh Chhabda, Neelam Dave, Sarla Choksi, Miss Khan, Naseema, Master Farjan Engineer, Mansoori, Baby Yasmeen etc in it.

This Friday when I was listening to the program ‘Shaam Sindoori’ on my return travel from office to home, I was awestruck when I listened to a song sung by Rafi Saab.
It was like I was listening to this song for the first time. I do not remember if I have listened to it earlier. This song was ‘ye shaam hai dhuaan dhuaan fizaa bahot udaas hai’. I immediately fell in love with this song. After all it had Rafi Saab’s voice and a very nice composition too.

“Ek Naao Do Kinaare” (1973), though a recent movie by the standards of this blog, is by and large a forgotten movie. It was a Nitin Films production and it was directed by B R Ishaara.The movie had newcomers like Hina Kausar, Rakesh Pandey, Mrinal Mukherjee and oldtimer like Manhar Desai in it.
