“Maala”(1941) was produced by Prakash Pictures and was directed by Mahendra Thakur and P.Jairaj (actor). The movie had Miss Rose, Jayant, P Jairaj, Nazir, Heera, Lallu Bhai, Daya bai, Munshi Khanzar etc. in it.

By now, Naushad had assessed public’s liking and was trying very hard to compose music which would become popular with the masses.
