Today’s song is a Fun song from the serious social film Padosi-1941.
The film was the last directorial offering by V.Shantaram, before he left Prabhat Film Company due to internal differences and the pressure put on him to quit the company because he wanted to marry the Company’s heroine Jayashree (Kamulkar). This was the rule in Prabhat film company that no director will ever get involved with any lady artist from the company or marry her. He should quit the company.

Unlike “Padosan” (1969), few people remember “Padosi” (1971) today. “Padosi”(1971) was produced and directed by Jagdish Pant. The movie had Prithviraj Kapoor, Rehana Sultan, Dhumal, Dileep Raj, Jayshree T etc in it.
