Chandni Raaten : Song No. 4
———————————
chaand aahen bharegaa phool dil thhaam lenge
husn ki baat chali to sab teraa naam lenge
chand phir nikla magar tum na aaye
jalaa phir mera dil karoon kya main haaye
dheere dheere chal chaand gagan mein
kahin dhal na jaaye raat toot na jaayen sapne
arey dheere dheere chal chaand gagan mein
khoya khoya chaand khula aasmaan
aankhon mein saari raat jaayegi
ham ko bhi kaise need aayegi ho oo

I have discussed as many as four songs from “Dil e Nadaan” (1953) but I was not aware of this song. This is a delightful song which is sung by Jagjit Kaur. The song is picturised wonderfully well. The picturisation shows Peace Kanwal singing this song, Shyama dancing on it and Talat Mehmood playing the violin. One elderly gentleman is also visible in the picturisation but I am anable to identify it.

“Dil e Naadaan” (1953) is a movie that had Talat Mehmood, Shyama and Peace Kanwal in it. This movie, which apparently was a love triangle, had some nice songs in it. I have already discussed three songs from this movie.
