According to imdb the release date is 05/12/1980, and director is Ambrish sangal. Names of script and story writer are not given.

yeh lijiye pesh hai khidmat mein Rafi wala happy version of the song. unfortunately only Audio . i am also looking for the vdo. please bear till then 🙂

One of my fav songs of that time, its still one of my top-fav lyrical creations of Indian cinema. This is such an ultimate lyrical treat to mind and that too wrapped by literal legends of music like rafee.
The musical notes of Hemlata version is surreal and having contrast of surprize, mystery, randomness of nature and all of it boxed with classic mate selection dileema of timeless story.

Aah !!!
One of my favourites from the last 30 years..as you well know.
I can listen to this song (any of its versions) any number of times without getting bored.
Although I like the Rafi version a lot, my favourite is the Manhar version. And certainly if I have to watch the video, I would like not to have to watch Deepak Parasher. 🙂
