“Safar” was a Rajesh Khanna movie of 1970. One thing that is noticeable about this movie is its songs. Quite a few of its songs became very popular.
In this movie, Kishore Kumar has given playback for Rajesh Khanna in the title song and that was very popular.
But in this song, it is Manna Dey who sings and this song became just as popular. This song is not lip synced by Rajesh Khanna though, but by someone else.
Incidentally, this movie had a song sung by Mukesh ( not for Rajesh Khanna either) that had become just as popular.
I summary, this movie was full of songs sung by different singers that went on to become very popular indeed.

A small correction. Only Kishore Kumar sang for Rajesh Khanna in this movie, Mukesh for Feroze Khan and the Manna Dey song was sung by a boatman with Khanna & Sharmila looking on. Interestingly no female singer in this movie.
