Mukesh and his Composers – 47
Mahesh Kanodia (27 January 1937–25 October 2020) and Naresh Kanodia (20 August 1943–27 October 2020) popularly known as the composer duo of Mahesh-Naresh are a famous name in the state of Gujarat. The brothers were multitalented and performed as composers, singers, actors and musicians in films and theatre. They passed away within two days in the month of October 2020 during Covid-19 pandemic.
Their autobiographical book “Sauna Hridayma Hammesh” in Gujarathi language was published and released in 2011. Both brothers were well-known politicians also. Both were also awarded Padma Shri award posthumously.
Wiki details on their life and career can be found here and here.
They had a brief stint in Hindi films too and composed for the following films.
1. Awara Ladki (1975)
2. Maze le lo (1975)
3. Meri Dosti Tera Pyar (1977)
4. Chota Aadmi (1986)
5. Made in China (2019)
Since their work in Hindi films is limited, I could not find more information. If there is any more contribution in Hindi films, I request knowledgeable readers to please provide the info.
One song from one of their Hindi films has been represented on the blog and can be found here.
Mukesh sang in Gujarati films Jigar Ane Ami (1970) and Veli Ne Aavya Phool (1970) for Mahesh.
In Hindi, he sang only one solo in the film Meri Dosti Tera Pyar (1977).
The film makes its debut on the blog. Its cast included Rajan, Anand Kapoor, Vijaya Choudhury, Nandu Gope, Anju Gupta, Geetanjali, Master Raju et. al. It was from the production house of Kamal International and was produced and directed by Brij Agarwal.
My guess is that the song is picturized on Anand Kapoor.
Since this is the only Hindi song of Mukesh for the composer duo, the post is sans the customary table.
Listen and enjoy the song.

andheree raah mein aen
ye ujaale teree raahon mein main bichhaaoonga
door rah ke bhee teree dostee nibhaaoonga
dostee nibhaaoonga
mujhe jo milee zindagee teree chaah mein
mujhe jo milee zindagee teree chaah mein
loot liya usey ae waqt kee nigaah ne
kasam hai tere pyaar kee ee ee
kasam hai tere pyaar kee
yoon teree raah mein aen aen

suno saathhiyon
jahaan mein pyaar hee mahaan hai

jahaan mein pyaar hee mahaan hai
mita hai jo bhee yaar pe ae ae
