Hamne jo dekhe sapne
Posted on: January 27, 2009
It was one of those songs that I loved listening to without having a clue which movie this song was from. And of course I did not know anything about lyricists and music directors those day. I used to think that the singers themselves wrote the song and composed the music too.
Now I know that this song is from a movie called “Parivaar” (1967). I never heard about this movie. It turns out that the movie had Jeetendra and Nanda in the lead roles.
In this song, the two sing in the voices of Mahendra Kapoor and Lata respectively. Gulshan Baawra was the lyricist whereas Kalyanji Anandji had composed the music.
It is a nice hummable song, that had left a mark on my tender mind before I forgot all about this song. Now I have rediscovered this song again, thanks to the farmaish given for this song by our own farmiash giver with Jhumri Tilayya like appetite for farmaishes. 😉 And I must thank Raja for reintroducing me with this much loved song of late 1960s.
Song-Hamne jo dekhe sapne (Parivaar) (1967) Singers-Mahendra Kapoor, Lata, Lyrics-Gulshan Baawra, MD-Kalyanji Anandji
Lyrics
Hamne jo dekhe sapne
Hamne jo dekhe sapne
sach ho gaye wo apne
O mere saajna
din aa gaye hai pyaar ke
mere saanja
din aa gaye qaraar ke
Hamne jo dekhe sapne
sach ho gaye wo apne
O mere saajna
aise hi sada sajdhaj ke meri
ankhon me raha jawaan tum
aise hi sada sajdhaj ke meri
ankhon me raha jawaan tum
main chaaya banke saath chaloon
main chaaya banke saath chaloon
mujhe le chalo jahan tum
Hamne jo dekhe sapne
sach ho gaye wo apne
O mere saajna
ham janam janam ke saathi hain
pooja hai preet hamari
ham janam janam ke saathi hain
pooja hai preet hamari
iss janam bhi tumhe paa hi liya
iss janam bhi tumhe paa hi liya
main ho gayi tumhari
Hamne jo dekhe sapne
sach ho gaye wo apne
O mere saajna
din aa gaye hain pyaar ke
mere saanja
din aa gaye qaraar ke
Hamne jo dekhe sapne
sach ho gaye wo apne
O mere saajna

Indeed Atul, many of my farmaishes are not all that easy to find. Some of them are not even popular songs. But I still like them because they are refreshing compared to songs you keep hearing.
112 already posted + 25 to go !!! Wow…I did not even realise I have been so prolific in farmaishes. Whenever I got some songs in my mind, I just put out a farmaish here. Like a brain dump.
But hey, remember what I always say – it is YOUR blog. So don’t feel under pressure or obliged to post any song that you don’t want to. I am quite happy to see a farmaish posted – but just as happy to see other songs here which are not my farmaish. I am also learning new songs here – that Pradeep “pinjra” song was one such. I loved it.
Keep going, Atul. I will keep giving you farmaishes – kya karoon, aadat se majboor hoon. Jhumri Tilaiyya jo thehra. 🙂
Pick and choose whatever you like.

Arrey, long time since you got a farmaish from Jhumri Tilayya. 🙂
Have got to start working on my next list now.
I thought I will give you a breather to let you clear the backlog and maybe, just maybe, squeeze in a few songs of your own that you actually like and would like to post. 😉
