I had forgotten all about this song ! It was a song that was very popular during its time. I as a kid liked to listen to this song.
This song describes city girls from the point of view of a villager who comes to a city for the first time. That way, this song is similar to the “Pehchaan” (1970) song “wo pari kahaan se laaun teri dulhan jise banaaun”. In that “Pehchaan” song, Manoj Kumar plays the rustic, here Jeetendra plays that role.
The lyrics written by Anand Bakshi are amusing, and Music of Laxmikant Pyarelal is typically exuberant. Mukesh sang this song for Jeetendra here, like he did for Manoj Kumar in “Pehchan”. The picturisation shows Jeetendra with many city girls, who are not dresses properly by his standards. One of the girls is Rekha, in her earlier ugly duckling avatar.
This movie was called “Ek Bechaara” (1972). This song had stood 25th in Binaca geetmala of 1972. In fact, only when I was going though the list of Binaca geetmala songs that I was reminded of this song again. I had not heard this song for the last 36 yeras or so. It was so nice to renew my acquaintance with this song.

I am hearing this song after so many years. i was very small when i heard this song. and i was searching this song from long time but i couldn’t get the starting word of this song ,and one day it suddenly remember the starting word and i got this song thank u very much .

I am hearing this song after so many years.
I must also have heard it in 1972 or so when this movie was released.
It has always been somewhere at the back of my mind (it is one of those catchy tunes) but I never got to hear it after that.
Thanks, Atul, for reviving it through this blog. Quite a nice song, with a good share of humour (much like “wo pari” from Pehchaan).
