I am a big fan of Ganesh, the forgotten music director of 1960s and 1970s. He was the younger brother of Pyarelal (of Laxmikant Pyarelal duo).
He got very few opportunities as an independent music director, and these movies were all C grade movies. But what amazing music he has created in these movies !
It is very unfortunate that very little information is available on him. In fact, this blog could well have the most information about him on internet.
I have been searching for Ganesh songs and posting them here. He got to compose just 87 songs in all in Bollywood. I have posted 9 of his songs already, and all of them are amazing songs.
Here is another superb song that Ganesh created. This is a very very rare song, and very little information is available on this song.
this song is from “Badnaam” (1975). It is written by Naqsh Llayalpuri and it is sung by Rafi and Meena Patki. How many of us have heard about Meena Patki. I had not heard about her.
The picturisation show two persons ( hero and heroine of this movie) and I must admit that I have absolutely no idea who they are. Can someone help ?

I cannot see any list in the link. It says there are no results. And that is what I meant when I said that hardly any information is available on Ganesh in internet.

but no info as to who played what, but we can eliminate some names like it is not Jalal Agha, nor Anwar Hussain!

That only leaves Baldev Khosa and Nazima.
I also came across a name called Dilip Bose in this movie.

hi atul
the supposed hero in this song is indeed Baldev Khosa who I think later on went on to make movies and was the MLA from AMBOLI constituency in MUMBAI during the time when SUNIL DUTT was the MP there.

Whoever the actors are the guy is aping Shashi Kapoor and the girl mostly like Leena Chandravarkar.
You are right…never heard of Meena Patki..
