Suno suno gagan ke taaron

I keep stumbling upon unknown songs that are gems. Today I stumbled upon a remarkable gem.
This gem of a song is from a movie called “Jalpari” (1952). This movie had Ashok Kumar and Nalini Jaiwant as lead actors. Bharat Vyas was the lyricist and music was composed by Pt Govindram, which is an obscure music director for the music lovers.
Obscure he may be, but what a spectacular song he has created. Listen to this song, and chances are your will be enthralled.
The song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and Rafi. I had never heard this song before, and I am sure most music lovers will be in the same boat. And I hope they will all agree with my assessment of this song as one which is a precious gem and which deserves to be known to all music lovers.
