Machalti aarzoo khadi baahen pasaare

There are many Bollywood movie songs where characters use sophisticated words to express their feelings. Then there are songs where feelings are expressed with simple lyrics.
Here is a joyous song from “Usne Kaha Thaa” (1960) where Nanda is feeling very happy with the prospects of her “Saajan’s” arrival. And as things stand, it appears to be the season of “saawan”, which is Bollywood’s answer to west’s Valentine’s day. And Nanda is seen joyously swinging on a “jhoola” too.
This song is written by Shailendra and sung by Lata. Salil Chaudhary is the music director.

i was singing song thro the day 2day and i thought it shd be in our collection. and wat do i see that Maya has commented on it and it has showed up on the comments list.

सलिल दा …. लोक संगीत से उनका अटूट नाता, कोरस, हारमनी-मेलोडी, सिंफनी, फ्यूजन इत्यादि में उनकी महारथ किसी से छुपी नहीं ।
”मचलती आरजू खड़ी बाहें पसारे … ” गीत पहाड़ी लोकसंगीत के साथ सलिल दा के बेमिसाल आरकेट्रेशन के अनूठे उदाहरण के अलावा उनकी एक और बड़ी विशेषता को ईंगित करता है और वो है ”स्केल का जल्द – जल्द या तुरत – फुरत लेकिन मनमोहक परिवर्तन और ये ही वजह है कि उनके ऐसे गीतों को ठीक से गा पाना किसी के लिए भी आसान नहीं, हालांकि सुनने में ये इतने कठिन नहीं लगते ।
