Chaandi kaa gol gol chandaa

Bollywood movies of the past may have been differentiated on the basis of their budget into A grade, B grade, C grade etc, but there was no such differentiation in the quality of music in all these movies. Even C grade movies used to have outstanding music. But the music of C grade movies suffered mostly because of lack of exposure since records of these songs were hardly made. And record players were in any case unaffordable for most music lovers.
I have no idea how many gems from so called C grade movies have been lost. But those movies which are still available are such treasure troves of great songs.
Here is a forgotten song from a forgotten movie called “Piyaa Milan Ki Aas” (1961). This song is sung by Lata and Rafi. Bharat Vyas has written the lyrics using delightful shudhh Hindi words in this song. S N Tripathi, who was the biggest music director for Cgrade movies, has composed this song.

I was thinking about this song and came here, and lo and behold, you have already posted it and I hadn’t noticed it! But that was because May was a hectic month for me, what with an unscheduled trip to India thrown in, and guests back to back at home!
This song had beautiful lyrics and great music, coupled with Rafi and Lata. I remember this song but it is indeed a pity that it didn’t get more attention in those days.

Very simple very melodious.
Some corrections:
In mukhda it should be “bulaaye tujhe teri Kaamini” as in the rest of song.
First Antra ” chaandni gori gori baat ko sune tori”
Second Antra “chaand gira thaa koi toot ke”
