In olden days there used to be movies with titles like “School Girl” (1947), “School Master” (1959), ‘College Girl” (1960) etc. It shows that education, especially for girls, was considered important those days. 😀
We will not delve into the topics that were covered in these schools and colleges, mainly because I am totally unaware about these movies. Whatever be the plot of the movie, I am mainly interested in the songs of these movies. And I find that all these movies contain some rare gems and a few of them have already been discussed in the blog in the past.
Here is a song from “School Master” (1959) which I heard for the first time just now and I was simply bowled over. This is a superb song which is sung by Lata. Pradeep is the lyricist and music is composed by Vasant Desai.
This is a rare song, which is not even available on youtube.
