Meri zindagi tere pyaar mein

“Jee Chaahta Hai” (1964) is a movie starring Joy Mukherji, Rashree, Shyama, Rajendranath, Nazir Hussain,Jeewan etc. I have not seen the movie so I often try to guess the story of the movie from the picturisation of the song, and my conclusions thus drawn about the movie are often quite off the mark. 😀
Here is this song from “Jee Chaahta Hai” (1964). this song is picturised on all the actors mentioned above. The picturisation shows Rajendranath and Shyama going to different places on a scooter and singing this song, searching for someone. Then the picturisation shows Jeewan trying to force Jayshree to sign on the property papers. And then the picturisation shows an unconscious Joy Mukherji hospitalised with Nazir Hussain waiting on him. Joy Mukherji regains consciousness, looks at the watch and realises that it is late for the job that he was supposed to do. He looks back, and finding Nazeer Hussain sleeping, slips away from the hospital, acquires a disguise and begins lip syncing from behind his fake beard.
The song is sung by Rafi and Suman Kalyanpur. Shyama lip syncs in Suman Kalyanpur’s voice, whereas both Rajendranath and Joy Mukherji share Rafi’;s voice, singing the same lyrics despite being far way from each other.
Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Kalyanji Anandji.

Lyrics(Provided by Prakashchandra)
ho ho ho ho
ho ho ho bho
ho ho ho ho
meri zindagi tere pyar mein
hum kahaan kahaan se guzar gaye
hum kahaan kahaan se guzar gaye
mere dil se aayee teri sadaa
hum jahaan jahaan se guzar gaye
hum jahaan jahaan se guzar gaye
meri zindagi
mere dil ne dhoondhaa jagah jagah
ke pataa tumhaara nahin chalaa
phire hum bhi teri talaash mein
gul-e-aarzoo to nahin khilaa
jahaan aaftaab na jaa sake
jahaan aftaab na jaa sake
hum wahaan wahaan se guzar gaye
meri zindagi
tu hazaar pardon mein ho kahin
tujhe paake maanenge ek din
tu kahin rahe tu kahin chhupe
tujhe laake maanenge ek din
hamen maut ka koyee dar nahin
hamen maut ka koyee dar nahin
tere aastaa se guzar gaye
meri zindagi
mere dil se niklaa hai geet jo
tu sune to phir koyee baat hai
tu jhalak dikhaa
tu nazar to aaa
tu jhalak dikhaa
tu nazar to aaa
meri har duaa tere saath hai
tujhe dekh le isee shaukh mein
tujhe dekh le isee shaukh mein
gham-e-do-jahaan se guzar gayi
meri zindagi tere pyaar mein
hum kahaan kahaan se guzar gaye
meri zindagi

while listening to the song,I thought of this song as two lovers singing and searching passionately for each other, But see, how the director picturised the song!!!!!!!
I have altogether different visualisation about this song in my mind. For example like the picturisation of Rajkapoor`s AAH song:”Aajaare ab mera dil pukaara, ro roke gum bhi haaraaa”.
I prefer to listen this song than to watch the video of this song, so that my sentiments and feelings about this melodious song, remain IN TACT.
