Manoj Kumar’s career as a film actor and producer was looking down and out when “Shaheed” (1965) came as a respite. And with his next venture “Upkaar” (1967), Manoj Kumar hit the jackpot and he never looked back since.
The storyline of “Upkaar” (1967) appealed to the masses a lot and Manoj Kumar found his calling. ever since, he would play “Bharat” to the hilt in his subsequent movies for the next one decade and a half.
Music of “Upkaar” (1967) played an iimportant role in the success of this movie. Almost all the songs of this movie became quite popular and some of them in cvfact became iconic songs.
I had only discussed a couple of songs from this movie till recently. Now I am discussing more songs from this movie, thanks to the lyrics of these songs being sent to me by nahm.
Here is a poignant song from “Upkaar” (1967) which is sung by Lata and it is picturised on Asha Parekh. Asha Parekh is hoping for the well being of Manoj Kumar whereas Manoj Kumar is being held captive at that moment.
The song is written by Gulshan Baawra. Music is composed by Kalyanji Anandji.

Lyrics(Provided by nahm)
Har khushi ho wahan
tu jahaan bhi rahe
har khushi ho wahan
tu jahaan bhi rahe
zindagi ho wahaan
tu jahaan bhi rahe
har khushi ho wahaan
tu jahaan bhi rahe
ye andhere mujhe
ho ho ho
o o o
ye andhere mujhe
is liye hain pasand
in mein saaya bhi apna
dikhaayi na de
in mein saaya bhi apna
dikhaayi na de
roshni ho wahaan
roshni ho wahaan
roshni ho wahaan
tu jahaan bhi rahe
zindagi ho wahaan
tu jahaan bhi rahe
har khushi ho wahaan
tu jahaan bhi rahe
chaand dhundhlaa sahi
ho ho ho
o o o
chaand dhundhlaa sahi
gham nahin hai mujhe
teri raaton pe raaton ka saaya na ho
teri raaton pe raaton ka saaya na ho
chaandni ho wahaan
chaandni ho wahaan
chaandni ho wahaan
tu jahaan bhi rahe
zindagi ho wahaan
tu jahaan bhi rahe
har khushi ho wahaan
tu jahaan bhi rahe
