“Zindagi” (1964) was a Gemini Pictures Production and it was directed by Ramanand Sagar. Atarcast of the movie had Prithviraj kapoor, Rajendra kumar, Raaj kumar, Vyjayanthimala, Nirupa roy, Jeevan, Leela Chitnis, Dhumal, Moolchand, Mumtaz Begum, Heeralal, Kanhaiyyalal, Mehmood, Helen, Jayant etc.
As many as four songs from this movie have been discussed in the blog in the past. Here is another song fromthe movie. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and Rafi. This song is a Helen song which is picturised on Helen and Mehmood, with Kanhaiyyalal, Jayant, Raj Kumar and Prithviraj Kapoor also visible in the picturisation.
Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan.

ZINDAGI-1964 was a film produced and directed by Ramanand Sagar,who also wrote the story.
There were 5 films by the name Zindagi,in 40,56,64,68 and 76.there was also a TV serial Zindagi in 1987.
Beena(V.Mala) is a stage dancer.she is loved by the poet Gopal(Raaj kumar0,but she is not aware of it.One day she is molested by Baankelal(Jeevan)and others,when Rajan(Rajendra kumar) saves her.They fall in love and want to get married despite the resistence of his father Rai Bahadur Gangasaran(Prithviraj Kapoor).They are allowed with a condition that she will never meet Gopal.
One night when Rajan and Beena are coming home by car,there is a flat tyre.Rajan goes for Mechanoc.2 goons attack Beena,she runs and takes refuse in a house,which is Gopal’s house.due to riots,she spends the night in Gopal’s house.
Next day gopal is arrested for murdering Ratanlal(Hiralal)with whomm he had a quarrel.Gopal does not reveal that he was with Beena,which would have saved him.He is sentenced death.beena lears this and declares in court that she was with him.Gopal is released but Beena is thrown out by her in law.
while out with her mother(Leela CHitnis),she faints and is taken home by Sherkhan(Jayant).she delivers a boy.Meanwhile Rajen is to be married again,but when sherkhan comes to know this,he goes and stops the marriage.All the misunderstandings are cleared and the couple reunites.
