Lyrics(Provided by Prkashchandra)
ye hawaa aaa
ye fizaaa aaaa
ye hawaa
ye fizaa
ye samaa
hosh aise mein dil ko kahaan
le chalo hamko chaahe jahaan
ye hawaa
ye fizaa
ye samaa
hosh aise mein dil ko kahaan
le chalo hamko chaahe jahaan
dagmagaate behakte
huye chaaah mein
do musaafir
kuchch aise miley
raah mein
dagmagaate behakte
huye chaaah mein
do musaafir
kuchch aise miley
raah mein
aankhein kho gayin (?)
takraa gaye dil
dhadkan ne
kholee zubaan
ye hawaa ye fizaaa
ye samaa
hosh aise mein dil ko kahaan
le chalo hamko chaahe jahaan
pyaar ki mauj par
baadlon ke taley
door lekar kahin
dil ki naiyya chalein
pyaar ki mauj par
baadlon ke taley
door lekar kahin
dil ki naiyya chalein
toofaan ko bhooley
lehron mein jhoolein
khwaabon ki
ye kashtiyaan
ye hawaa
ye fizaaa
ye samaa
hosh aise mein dil ko kahaan
le chalo hamko chaahe jahaan
do dilon ne jo lee
saath angdaayiyaan
door bajne lagin
jaise shehnaayiyaan
do dilon ne jo lee
saath angdaayiyaan
door bajne lagin
jaise shehnaayiyaan
masti mein khokar
dekho zameen par
jhukne lagaa aasmaan
ye hawaa
ye fizaaa
ye samaa
hosh aise mein dil ko kahaan
le chalo hamko chaahe jahaan

The tune of this song was inspired from a very popular song ‘que sera sera’ from Alfred Hitchcock movie THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH (1956).
I thought the version songs were the prerogative of Hindi films but this English song had two versions too. Video clips below :

Oh thank you for posting this song Sadanand. It brings back some memories. Yes the tune is totally lifted from here – Chitragupt too? Sigh. His music was so lovely.

Today I found one Gujarati song sung by Mukesh which is based on the same tune as this song. Audio clip :

Of course, the original tune of both these songs is based on ‘que sera sera’ as mentioned in the comments.
