“Minoo” (1977) was a Hena Films Production. It wa directed by Parshuram and Pushraj. The movie had Baby Moonmoon, Dinesh Thakur, Radha Saluja, Nanditha Thakur, Padma Khanna, Jagdeep, Anwar Hussain, Dulari,Sudhir, Manmauji, Ranjeet Sood etc in it. The story of this movie revolves around a small girl child who was hoping that her mother is going to bring a small brother to play with her. Unfortunately, her mother never returns from hospital to her side. Her father remarries and the girl find it very hard to digest the situation and flees from home. A movie with this kind of story line and that too made on a small budget with no stars did not have a market those days. In fact, a movie like this does not have a market even today and so few people watched this movie.
The songs of this movie also went down alongwith the movie. I do not recall listening to the songs of the movie at that time. Now, with the passage of nearly 35 years, one can look back and listen to the songs of this movie with the benefit of hindsight and appreciate them.
Here is a song from this movie. It is sung by Asha Bhonsle and Antara Chaudhary. It is picturised on Dinesh Thakur, Radha Saluja and Baby Mummun. Yogesh is the lyricist. Music is composed by Salil Chaudhary.

Atul’s Song A Day- A choice collection of Hindi Film & Non-Film Songs

Music Director Salil Chowdhary co-produced this movie`s Kannada Version namely “Chinna Ninna Muddaaduve”(starring Late VishnuVardhan,Jayanthi,Ambarish) and that kannada version was a hit in Karnataka and its music also appreciated very much(Songs sung by S.Janaki,Yesudass)
This Hindi Movie “Minoo”got two more very melodious songs(Atlease in my personal opinion), which are favourite songs of Vividhbharthi radio station(Atulji ISHARAA kiss taraf hai, maloom ho rahaa hai na??)
Salil da`s daughter Anthra Chowdhary is at her best in both following mentioned songs.
1)Manna Dey,Antara Chowdhary :”Teri galiyon mein hum aaye”
2)Antara chowdhary:”Kaali re kaali re tu tho kaali re”

Atul, i think Rajesh Khanna had a guest appearance in this movie as a truck driver or some such thing!!!
