Mohe chhedo na Nand ke laalaa
Posted by: Atul on: August 10, 2012
Today (10th august 2012) is Janmashtami, which is a holiday in India. Today is friday, which means that the holiday is followed by the weekend. So in effect there are many people in India who now have a long weekend ahead of them, and I am one of them. 🙂
Personally I am very poor in remembering dates etc and I often do not remember holidays etc either. There have been occasions when I hgave turned up at my office only to realise that it was a holiday. I was not aware of this holiday till yesterday afternoon. Fortunately I became aware of it then and so here I am. 🙂
Since it is Janmashtami today so I need to post a few Janmashtami related songs. I have discussed two such songs already. Now it is time to discuss a couple of songs more before deciding that I am done for the day.
This song is sung by Lata and it is picturised on Sridevi, with Manohar Singh and Anil Kapoor also visible in the picturisation. Anand Bakshi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shiv Hari.
Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Peevesie’s mom.

Lyrics(Provided by Peevesie’s mom)
Hooo ohhh
mohe chhedo Na
ho mohe chhedo na
Nand ke lala
ke main hoon brijbala
nahin main radha teri
mohe chhedo na
Nand ke Lala
ke main hoon brijbala
nahin main radha teri
mohe chhedo na nand ke lala
kaahe pakad li meri kalaayi
teri duhaai oh Krishna kanhaai
kaahe pakad li meri kalaayi
teri duhaai Krishna kanhai
harjaayi tu bansari waala
ki main hoon brijbala
nahin main raadha teri
mohe chhedo na nand ke lala
Radha se hogi
ee ee ee ee
Radha se hogi
teri thhitoli
aankh micholi
tum humjoli
Holi mein kyun mujhe rang daala
ki main hoon brijbala
nahin main radha teri
mohe chhedo na
Nand ke Lala
ke main hoon brijbala
nahin main radha teri
mohe chhedo na Nand ke lala

Sri has to polish her Hindi diction. Her dance is just beautiful, wonderful and fabulous.
Perfectly marvellous lyrics by AB.

isn’t that asking for toomuch— imagine after 40 years in the industry Hema Malini still speaks hindi the way she does— & it seems she was brought up In Delhi– then how can sridevi after only 25 years speak differently? also initially Naaz used to dub for her!!!!

I know Padmin & Ragini (duo from famous three travancore sisters) did it…so why Sri going to be any different, right? 🙂
Well, Rekha was a bit off but she cathed it very fast. 🙂

Once even Rekha ji dubbed for Sridevi for Amithabh`s Aakhri Raasta(According to gossip magazines, just to be with Big.B.)
Also Rekha dubbed for Big B.`s Sooryavansham heroine Late Soundarya in that movie(Soundarya was famous south indian heroine who met tragic death in helicoptor, while doing election duty alongwith her husband)
