“Achhoot Kanya” (1936) was a Bombay Talkies production. It was produced by Himanshu Rai and directed by Franz Osten. The movie had Ashok Kumar and Devika Rani in lead roles with P F Pithawala, Kamta Prasad, Kishori Lal, Kusum Kumari, Pramila, Anwari, Ishrat etc also there in the movie.
The movie was a huge success at the box office. The song Main ban ki chidiya has become an immortal song. But this movie had several other songs in it and they all deserve to be better known among music lovers.
As many as six songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the seventh song from the movie. It is sung by Ashok Kumar and it is picturised on himself. J S Kashyap is the lyricist. Music is composed by Saraswati Devi.
