“Kabhi Kabhi” (1976) was a Yashraj Films production movie. It was produced and directed by Yash Chopra. The movie had Shashi Kapoor, Rakhi, Amitabh Bachchan, Waheeda Rehman, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Simi Grewal, Parikshat Sahni etc in it.
As many as five songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the sixth song from this movie. This song is a wedding song. It is sung by Lata and chorus. The song is by and large a background song because no one really lip syncs this song while Rakhi is the bride about to get married.

PS-Guess who play the parents of Rakhi in this song ? It is Dr Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan, the real life parents of Amitabh Bachchan. And they are visible in the picturisation of this song towards the later stages.

What a lovely song. Yash Raj always loved Punjabiyat.
Do I detect Jagjit Kaur’s voice as well in the song? It sounds like her.
